Shannon is E-RYT 200 hour certified, owner of Mobile Yoga Center, a former key member on the board of Sweet Om Alabama, a current and full-time yoga teacher at various location in and around Mobile, Alabama including MYC. Shannon is a Reiki practitioner, Certified Tarot Card Reader, reads Natal Charts and instructs yoga in the disciplines of Ashtanga, Kundalini and Restorative Yoga. Natalie is a E-RYT 200 and RYT 500 hour yoga teacher from California and currently teaching in Birmingham Alabama. She is a musician, Reiki certified, and Personal Training certified. Natalie teaches geriatric and hospice yoga private sessions and group classes and at Danberry, as well as teaching Meditation, Yin, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa yoga at The Yoga Circle and other locations in Birmingham.
Vulcan Yoga Course Description
Vulcan Yoga is designed to free your fire through the practice of hatha yoga and philosophy. VYTT is a comprehensive school with various studies of lineage in Kundalini, Ashtanga, Yin, and Vinyasa.
Kundalini: Emphasis on how to build your own practice, history, how to select kriyas/read manuals and resources.
Ashtanga: The 8 limbs as a foundation of yoga philosophy, building a strong practice and memorizing the primary sequence including the names of the postures. How to lead someone through a beginners level primary class, adjustments, proper modifications and application of the anatomy. Development into intermediate Ashtanga including ethics, mythology, asana, and pranayama.
Yin: Postures, meditation, breathe-work, deep facial tissue stretch and release.
Vinyasa: Sequencing, building a themed class- lineage, history, types of vinyasa. How to define and recognize different styles of yoga practices.
These 4 disciplines will give you a well rounded and enriched scope of both an authentic and evolving yoga practice and life. VYTT is a powerful, athletic, sensational, and psychological experience that is designed to promote strength, flexibility, with a true understanding of the mind, body, and spirit.

First week or Two:
First we will focus on how to build your own practice of Kundalini and Ashtanga, introducing Sadhana and Mysore styles followed by led classes in Ashtanga,Vinyasa, Kundalini and Yin classes. Discussion on the basic foundation of why we do yoga, why we teach, and why we are here.
Weekly Classes
Fridays: 5:00 am - 2:00 pm: Instructed by Natalie Peach.
Students will be expected to be prepared to start with a group class practice (Ashtanga, Vinyasa or Yin) and ending with discussion on teaching methods, history, philosophy, book discussions, etc.
Saturdays: 9:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Instructed by Shannon Hancock, Natalie Peach Wolf, or Guest Teacher TBA. 3.5 hours of anatomy/alignment and posture clinics and then another group class practice (yin or kundalini).
Sundays: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm: Instructed by Shannon Hancock and/or Natalie Peach and will include Kundalini and Ashtanga or Vinyasa and Yin practice as well as practice teaching. Training will include but not be limited to teaching ashtanga to one another, breaking down postures, going over alignment, adjustments, and discussing the philosophy of yoga, history, mythology, 8 branches, and ethics. Every other Sunday a month will be instructed by possible “Guest Teacher” or lead instructor and will include teaching things such as Children’s and Prenatal Yoga, yoga for Trauma and Special Populations, Ayurveda and other special topics.

Practicum on the weekend of the 19th and 20th with graduation on Sunday. Written and practical portion of the exam on Saturday, July 30th and Graduation on Sunday, August 1st!
Must lead a yoga class of minimum 75 minutes between the dates of June 7th and July 20th.
Please Note:
Yoga teachers will give and receive feedback and critique weekly. Each student will learn to develop their skills, talents, and place in the yoga community. Each student will learn to be knowledgeable, confident, and decisive about their form of practice and teaching method. Each student will graduate only after leading a class where Shannon and Natalie are present. Each student will graduate only after receiving a private oral exam presented by either Shannon or Natalie along with completing their written and practical portion of exam. This syllabus is merely an outline and subject to changes.
Pricing:
$3,000 standard upfront due the first day of training
OR $3,500 month to month in $500 monthly installments
